Dr. Ruisi was raised in Wickenburg and the beautiful Arizona desert. Her passion for animals and love of the great outdoors lead her in the pursuit of a career in veterinary medicine. After serving 6 years of active duty in the U.S. Navy, traveling the world, and graduating from Washington State University – College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Ruisi returned home to Wickenburg in 2007. In 2012 she embarked on a new business venture to give back to the community and opened ‘Hassayampa Veterinary Services’. Most days she can be found at the clinic doing what she loves! Dr. Ruisi was awarded the “Veterinarian of the Year” (2016) with recognition for Leadership and Professional Development by the VHCTAz/AzVMA.
Dr. Jordan Lovell is excited to have recently joined the Wickenburg community. Originally from the Texas Hill Country, Dr. Lovell was avidly involved in various aspects of agriculture from a young age including FFA show animals as well as her family’s Brangus cow-calf operation and western performance horses. She received a B.S. in Animal Science from Colorado State University and remained in beautiful northern Colorado for her Veterinary Degree. Dr. Lovell enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her husband, Eric, and two dogs – a mini Aussie, Porter, and corgi, Dezi. She is eager to meet you and offer mixed animal services to Wickenburg.
Dr. Evan Scott is from Fort Worth, Texas and attended Texas A&M University earning a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biomedical Sciences in 2011 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 2016. He has a passion for locomotive pathology and sport medicine and has been a show/rodeo veterinarian at numerous regional and national shows across the United States and Canada from AHA US and Canadian Nationals to Longines FEI CSI4* Jumping World Cup Qualifier to the local Cave Creek Rodeo. Spending the last half of his career at referral hospitals and the first half as a traveling sports medicine/show veterinarian allowed him to build a large caseload and a diverse background to draw upon. He continues to focus on lameness and sports medicine but now enjoys general practice and the diversity of caseload general practice allows. He is hoping to bring year-round general practice and high-level lameness care to the Wickenburg and surrounding areas. He is trained in acupuncture and chiropractic and incorporates them into his western medicine practice to achieve the best possible result for his patients.
